Candidates applying for Categories 1 & 2 must meet the following educational qualifications:

  1. Physical Measurement Test (PMT):

    1. Candidates will undergo the Physical Measurement Test according to the standards set by the Haryana Police Service Rules 2017.
    2. Candidates who do not meet the prescribed standards for the PMT will be eliminated from all stages of the selection process.
    3. Candidates who will qualify for the Physical Measurement Test will proceed to the next stage of the selection process.

Physical Screening Test (PST): -The Candidates who will qualify Physical Measurement Test will further appear in the Physical Screening Test (PST). The standards prescribed for PST are as under:–

    1. It will be the responsibility of candidates to have the requisite medical fitness. The candidates who will not meet the standards prescribed for PST will stand eliminated from further stages. The result of PST will be prepared by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and will be displayed on its official website.
    2. The candidates who will meet the standards prescribed for the Physical Screening Test will be allowed to take part in the further process of selection.

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will be shortlisting candidates four times the number of advertised posts for each category, from those who have qualified for the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST).

    • The test will consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying equal marks.

  • b) Medium of Examination:

    • The medium of examination will be bilingual in Hindi and English.

    • To be considered for selection in the general category, a candidate must secure a minimum of 50% marks (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage) in the Knowledge Test.

    • Candidates applying for reserved category posts (vertical or horizontal) will receive a concession of 10%. Therefore, the minimum cut-off for such candidates will be 40% (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage).

The Knowledge Test paper covers the following subjects:

    1. General Studies
    2. General Science
    3. Current Affairs
    4. General Reasoning
    5. Mental Aptitude
    6. Numerical Ability
    7. Agriculture
    8. Animal Husbandry
    9. Other Relevant Fields/Trade, etc.

  1. Additionally:

    • At least 10% of the questions will be related to the basic knowledge of computers.
    • At least 20% of the questions will be related to the basic knowledge about Haryana.

  • The standard of questions will be in line with the expectations of an educated person who has passed the 10+2 examination, which is the educational requirement for the post of Haryana Police Constable.

    • All questions in the examination are mandatory.

    • The question paper will be bilingual, and presented in both English and Hindi.

    • For the Constable recruitment, a Knowledge Test will be conducted through an offline (OMR-based) written examination.

    • There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

    • The total number of questions will be 100.

    • Each question has a weightage of 0.945

    • Candidates are required to choose one option out of five given for each question.

    • An extra five minutes will be provided for marking the fifth option in case a candidate is unsure of the answer.

    • The total time allowed for the paper will be (100 + 5) = 105 minutes, including the additional five minutes.

    • Read Carefully: Before filling out the online application candidates are advised to carefully go through the advertisement, instructions, and procedure and apply online to the HSSC official website. Double-check all the details while filing the form to make sure everything is correct. Upload all the required documents before submitting the application finally.

    • Apply Early: Don’t wait until the last date; apply online well in advance. Ensure that you’ve entered the correct information in each field before applying.

    • No Changes After Submission: Once the application period closes, no changes, corrections, or modifications will be allowed under any circumstances. Requests for changes received through post, fax, email, by hand, etc., will not be entertained.

    • Print and Documents: After successfully applying, take a final printout of the form for your records. Bring the hard copy of the application form along with all uploaded documents when asked to do so by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.

    • Document Requirements: Only documents uploaded during the application will be considered; any not uploaded won’t be entertained. The HSSC may request additional documentation for clarity if needed.

    • No Change Requests: Requests to change category, sub-category, socio-economic marks, etc., after final submission will not be entertained by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission.

    • Online Applications Only: The HSSC will not accept offline application forms or copies of downloaded forms.

    • Eligibility Conditions: Candidates must meet the qualifications and eligibility conditions on the cutoff date; otherwise, their application won’t be accepted.

    • Document Scrutiny: Documents related to education, eligibility, socio-economic criteria, and experience will be considered based on the last date for online applications or as mentioned in the notification.

    • Scrutiny Process: The Commission does not scrutinize documents during the online application submission; scrutiny happens later when documents are checked.
