Plan of Written Examination:PSSSB Librarian Syllabus

The recruitment process for the Group-C post of Librarian under Advertisement No. 12 of 2024 involves a written examination. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the examination format:

1. Format: The exam will be conducted in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format. Candidates will use OMR sheets to answer the questions.
2. Duration: The exam will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
3. Structure: The examination is divided into three parts: Part A, Part B, and Part C.

Examination Details

Part A: Qualifying Test of Punjabi Language

Part A is a qualifying test that evaluates the candidate’s knowledge of the Punjabi language equivalent to the Matriculation standard.

• Number of Questions: 50
• Marks: 50 (1 mark per question)
• Type: MCQs
• Note: There is no negative marking in Part A.

To move forward in the examination process, candidates must score a minimum of 50% marks (i.e., 25 marks) in Part A.

Part B and Part C: Combined Evaluation

The PSSSB Librarian Syllabus:Parts B and C are evaluated together only if the candidate qualifies in Part A.

• Part B: General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Punjab History and Culture, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability, Punjabi, English, ICT.
  • Number of Questions: 40
  • Marks: 40 (1 mark per question)
  • Type: MCQs
• Part C: Subject-specific questions.
  • Number of Questions: 60
  • Marks: 60 (1 mark per question)
  • Type: MCQs

Total Marks: 100

Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Unattempted questions will receive no credit or discredit.
